Valentine’s Day’s Law of Attraction roots

love2It’s Valentine’s Day, a day of appreciating love. While the commercialism of the day, with its focus on chocolates and flowers, can be overpowering, the day actually has its roots in the laws of the universe. What we appreciate grows, so if we spend a day appreciating the love in our life it will become greater.

If you’re in a relationship, be appreciative of it and all of the things that you love about it. Forget about your pet peeves, forget about what you want to change, forget about past wrongs. Think about the good times and the good feelings and say, ‘more please.’

If you’re not in a relationship, be appreciative of all of the examples of love that are in your life. A friend who is not in a relationship told me that yesterday her doorbell rang and she opened it to find a flower delivery man. The man told her the flowers were for her neighbor and asked if she knew when the neighbor would be home. While she could have decried that moment, wishing the flowers were for her, she chose to be appreciative, seeing it as a sign that the courtship the flowers symbolized were on the way. She recognized that the incident was a sign of pending manifestation success.

If you can’t think of anything to be grateful for in your own life, consider the success stories of others. Spiritual Singles, a dating Web site for lightworkers and other metaphysically-minded people has a number of success stories of how people attracted love in their life by taking a chance and going on the Web site. (The site even uses astrological charts to help to facilitate connections between people).

One success story on the site reads:

I laughingly tell friends that your site sent me 860 possible match profiles to peruse and then if that weren’t enough a second batch of 600 or so and I diligently looked at every single profile until my brain was pudding and I refused to look at another profile.

I met several wonderful sincere women but nothing hit my intuition until a woman whose profile I remembered looking at twice but never contacted from all of the profiles sent me a “hello.” Yes, from all the profiles I viewed I explicitly remembered her because she has the most amazing eyes I have ever seen but didn’t think she would be interested in me so…

We are to be married August 15th, 2013 in her country. Really, distance doesn’t matter to Soul Mates.

She’d been successful in all areas of her life except for personal relationships. At 40, she decided to apply the Law of Attraction to her love life and is successful. She lays out the steps she took so you can do it too.
