If you’ve ever had trouble sleeping, you know how frustrating it can be to be unable to get a good night’s sleep. Not only might it leave you drowsy all day but a bad sleeping spell can wreak havoc on your life and your health. There can be many reasons for experiencing sleeping troubles. One such reason could be the onset of a spiritual awakening.
There are a number of signs that you’re experiencing a spiritual awakening. Some of those signs have to do with your sleeping habits. Among the most common:
Sleeping throughout the night, yet waking up feeling like you haven’t slept at all. When you experience this, you often feel that you didn’t sleep soundly. You may have tossed and turned a lot or just felt that your sleep wasn’t as deep as would have liked for it to be.
Waking up at the same time each night. Have you ever found yourself continuously waking up at 3:18 or some other strange time each and every night? When this occurs, you may find yourself unable to get back to sleep for a couple of hours. Sometimes it might not be until it’s nearly time to wake up before you finally get back to sleep.
Sleeping on and off throughout the night. When this occurs, you may sleep for a couple of hours, then wake up. Then you fall asleep again for a couple of hours, then you wake up. And so on, and so forth.
Falling asleep later and waking up earlier. Sometimes people begin to need less sleep after they’ve experienced a spiritual awakening. They may wake up each morning earlier than they used to, or they may stop feeling the need to take a nap.
If you find yourself with extra time because you aren’t able to sleep as long, use the time wisely. You might consider meditating (click here for a program to help you learn how to meditate); not only would you be furthering your spiritual awakening, but you would be relaxing yourself which might help you to sleep better at a later time.
