Can I use the Law of Attraction to win someone’s love?

question markA common question when people first start working with the Law of Attraction: Can I use the Law of Attraction to make someone love me? The answer is yes, and no. You can use the Law of Attraction to attract love into your life, but you can’t use the Law of Attraction to make Jack or Sally or anyone else fall in love with you.  Why? Because Jack and Sally are real people who have their own free wills to do what they please. The Law of Attraction — and any other Spiritual Law – will never take away your free will.  Never, Ever. You. choose. your. own. actions.

This also applies, by the way, to non-romantic relationships. You can’t use the Law of Attraction or say some type of spell to get your daughter to forgive you, or to make amends with your former best friend. If you do any of these things, you’re really using Black Magic, which is the use of metaphysical knowledge for selfish or evil purposes. You don’t want to open that can of worms, now do you?

So what can you do to attract love into your life using the Law of Attraction?

Notice that I said ‘love’ in general and not the specific love of one other person. How are you to know who is the ideal love for you? How are you to know whether the person you believe to be your soulmate would be happy with you for  a lifetime? You don’t even know if you would be happy with Jack or Sally for a lifetime. There’s a saying that being too specific about what you want is “tying God’s hands,” and what that means is that you’re eliminating all of the juicy and wonderful possibilities that the Universe has conjured up for you that you have no idea exist. You’re blocking your blessings. You might think Jack is great, but you don’t realize that Zach, who is right around the corner, is more ideal for you and has every quality you’ve ever wanted in a life partner. By focusing entirely on Jack, you could miss out on your true soulmate, Zach.

If you’re looking for steps on using the Law of Attraction to attract love, why not take the advice of someone who has done it? A person who has had the same struggle as you can give you much more insight than someone who it’s come easy for. So, if I were to take advice from someone on how to become a millionaire, I wouldn’t take the advice of someone who was born a millionaire. Rather, I’d look for the person who struggled financially and built a million-dollar empire over time.

In the same vein, Arielle Ford had experienced success in every area of her life except for romantic relationships. She was a publicist who actually used Law of Attraction principles to build her business and experience great success. So at the age of 40, she decided to use Law of Attraction strategies to attract a mate. She was successful and she detailed her steps in The Soulmate Secret: Manifest the Love of Your Life with the Law of Attraction. One of the exercises she talked about that helped her was to hold conversations with her love — before she knew who he was. Imagine that. She would take time each day to — in her mind — have a conversation about her day and the things that were important to her. Spiritually and energetically, she was already making space and getting to know this person in an intimate way. When she attracted him, there already seemed to be a connection and it was as if they already knew each other. Well, that shouldn’t be surprising because Arielle had spent months getting to know him before he ultimately showed up in her life.  She describes her process and other processes in the book that you can use yourself to attract the love that you want. The book is not only for women. I know men who are using the book and experiencing really good results with it.

So that’s an example of using the Law of Attraction to bring love into your life. Arielle didn’t have mental conversations with John or Jack, forcing them in her mind’s eye to declare their undying love for her. Instead, she opened it up to the Universe, trusting that she would attract the right love in the right way.
