Books on Manifestation: 4 of the Best

books on manifestation

If you’ve been down on your luck or you’re ready to change your circumstances and attract more good into your life, one or two books on manifestation can give you the inspiration and knowledge you need.

But with so many books on manifestation available, choosing the right one can be a challenge. Some books focus on helping you achieve a certain goal, such as money or love. Others focus on the art of manifesting from a general standpoint. They leave it up to you to apply the knowledge to your situation.

Regardless of what you want to attract more of, the following list can give you a place to start.

Books on manifestation: Starting your collection

The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn is hands down my favorite book about manifestation techniques. In fact, I make a point of re-reading it at least once per year. I’ve also given many copies out as gifts.

It’s a short book, so you can get through it quickly. But don’t let the short length fool you. It’s chock full of information and inspiration. One of my favorite concepts from the book: the idea of digging ditches or preparing for your manifestation. Doing this exhibits faith (the most important ingredient for success). If you’re in the desert and planning to attract water, you can show faith by digging a ditch to catch it.

Say you want to attract a new home in a seller’s market. Instead of worrying that you won’t get the deal, dig your ditch by purchasing the welcome mat that you intend to put down.

Ask and it is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks. It’s hard to zero in on the best book by Esther and Jerry Hicks. In fact, any of the couple’s books on manifestation techniques can be a welcome addition to your library. Their books feature lessons channeled by Esther from a nonphysical entity called Abraham. It talks about the importance of emotions when it comes to manifesting. We attract not so much what we think, but rather what we feel. Then, the book goes on to give you some advice on how to change your emotions, which will change your vibration and change your life.

The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. While The Game of Life and Ask and it is Given both take a spiritual approach to manifesting, Joseph Murphy looks at it through a psychological lens. In this classic, he explains why all change starts with the mind. He then provides advice on how to transform hardened beliefs so you can create new realities. If you’re most comfortable dealing with data and science, this may be the book for you.

Feeling is the Secret by Neville Goddard. Goddard is one of the more recent additions to my collection of books on manifestation. Interestingly, Goddard studied with Murphy though Goddard’s take on manifesting is more spiritual in nature. His main premise is that once we can literally feel ourselves in the scene we’d like to create, we will miraculously usher in the changes that lead to us physically enjoying that experience. One of his tips is to use our imaginations to feel ourselves living a scene out of our dream life right before bed. In time, we’ll be living it.
