Are you ready for the season of manifestation? September 22, 2018 is the date of the Autumn Equinox in the northern hemisphere. The Equinox marks the time when the sun appears directly over the Earth’s equator. On the Equinox the amount of time we spend in light is equal to the amount of time we spend in darkness. Spiritually, the Autumn Equinox is significant because it is an important part of our personal manifestation process. Here are some things to consider.
Everything is cyclical, including the manifestation process. Birth is followed by growth, which is followed by harvest, which is followed by death. It doesn’t stop there, as rebirth gets the cycles going again.
The seasons are also cyclical and they, too, provide us with some insight into the manifestation process. Spring represents birth or rebirth, Summer represents growth, Autumn represents harvest and Winter represents death. The Autumn Equinox ushers in the harvest season and reminds us of our manifestation power and success.
A season of manifestation
If there’s a symbolic time for manifestation, it’s Autumn. That’s when we see the fruits of what we planted over the past year. Consider every aspect of your life. Do you like where you are? What you see today is the result of the seeds you planted last winter, so this is also a good time to remember where you were spiritually and energetically at that time. What disappointments did you have? What changes did you wish for? How did you want your life to improve? If you keep a journal, it can be helpful to see what you were journaling about during the winter months and then look at what has manifested since then.
This is the time to count your blessings. Even if everything isn’t what you want it to be, surely you’ve made progress in some areas of your life. This is the time to focus on that progress and anticipate further blessings down the road. And here’s what makes the season of Autumn one of the most exciting times in the manifestation process. You have a lot to look forward to. Your manifestations won’t all appear on the day of the Autumn Equinox. You will be enjoying the season of harvest for three months so this is a time to look forward to all of the juicy manifestations that are coming your way. Expect them. Continue to visualize them. Know that the intentions you set last winter are on their way to fruition. Feel them as if they are already here.
You also might note whether you are harvesting something unwanted. Remember, manifestation always works. We’re always manifesting. The question is, are we manifesting what we want? If you’re manifesting a lot of things right now that don’t feel good, this is a time to consider what you need to change about your thinking and your belief system to make the next manifestation cycle better. Once the Winter Solstice arrives, we can then set intentions to create new outcomes. (Related Story: Lessons from the Winter Solstice)
Autumn Equinox rituals
So what can you do to mark the Autumn Equinox, as well as this entire season of harvest? Consider these three activities, which can remind you of your power of manifestation during this three month period.
Start a gratitude journal
Write in it all the things that you are grateful for each day during the Autumn season. Remember that what we show appreciation for grows in our lives so one of the best ways to manifest more is to amp up our appreciation for what we have.
Practice the art of surrender
Many of us go around trying to control our lives and thinking we know what we want and what’s best for us. Yet there are times when we can benefit from surrendering and letting the Universe show us where we should go next. Autumn is a great time to do this because again we’re in a season of harvest, so this is the time for the Universe to show us the next steps on the path. We may find ourselves steered into a new direction. What we learn about ourselves and our lives during this season of surrender will help us to set better intentions once the Winter Solstice arrives.
Read The Surrender Experiment
The Surrender Experiment by Michael A. Singer describes the spiritual journey of a man who surrendered his entire life to the Universe. Rather than trying to control life and plan it out, he let the Universe lead, watching for signs and only taking steps that opened to him. Rather than try to lead life, he let life lead him. Discover how surrendering and allowing can help you to manifest more than you ever thought possible.
Bottom line: This is not the time to think of how far you need to go, nor is it the time to lament that you haven’t achieved your goals faster. Instead, focus on expecting more and more and more in the three months prior to the Winter Solstice.
