What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Jump out of bed? Make the morning coffee? Log onto Facebook?

Many of us jump out of bed and delve directly into our days and then we wonder why our lives seem to be out of control. Well, of course your life is out of control if you don’t take control of it.

Every day you have the opportunity to co-create your life with the Universe. Life doesn’t happen to us unless we choose not to participate. And even when we live passively, we are making a conscious decision to sit this one out. And that too has consequences.

The Law of Attraction and visualization

So how can you take control of your days? One of the most important things you can do is visualize how you want the day to go. In fact, visualization is one of the key ways to work the Law of Attraction. The more you think about something, the more natural it comes to you. By consciously directing your thoughts to what you want, you imprint that thought on your subconscious mind and eventually your subconscious mind starts going to those thoughts as well.

Think about all of the important areas of your life, such as your career, your finances, your money and your health. Visualize what types of things you would like to see happen this day before you embark into the outside world.

If you want to attract more abundance, visualize yourself receiving a check or see yourself checking your bank account to find thousands more dollars than you need. If you want to attract love, visualize yourself sitting with your significant other enjoying the day. You can also use this technique for specific events. If you have a presentation to give that day visualize yourself standing in front of your audience with their attention placed on you, and see your audience in your mind’s eye benefiting from all that you have to say. If you have a doctor’s appointment that day, visualize the doctor shaking your hand and smiling at you, telling you that you have a clean bill of health.

By putting these thoughts into the Universe about how you would like for your life to go, you are making sure that you have your say in the unfolding of your day. It also ensures that you start the day with the right positive mindset.

Don’t think you have the time to do this? It can be done in a couple of minutes. You can even visualize while you’re in the shower if you’re that pressed for time.
